We took the minivan to be donated the other day. It's kinda sad, because we've had it since I was little. My grandma rode in it before she died. It was the first car I ever drove. I won't miss driving it though. Today or tomorrow I should be getting another car. It looks like its going to be a '97 Eagle Vision. I'm happy I possibly will have a car to take back to school with me in the fall. It'll nice to be able to drive a car and not have to worry about it falling apart as soon as I leave the Detroit area. Yay! |

I've applied for a ton of jobs, and they don't ever respond.
I called my cousin, but hes too busy to give me his fax number so I can send in my resume to work at his recording studio.
Wayne State put a hold on my account from last summer, even though I reapplied and paid them a few weeks ago for this summers class. Now I cant enroll for the class I want, because the lady incharge of holds cant return phone calls, and doesnt ever pick up her phone.
I cant get a job, and I cant get into the class I want. Yup, this summer looks like its going start off great. |

Why do people go in the study lounges on campus just to take a nap? Some of them spend hours in there. In that amount of time, I could have gone back to my apartment and slept. The other day a girl even brought an alarm clock in there with her. When they're quiet its alright, but sometimes they snore. That makes it harder to study. |

I'm going home tomorrow. I'm excited. I want to see my house done, and I finally will get to sleep in my new room. No more sleeping in the dinning room. My house is back together, its going to be weird. My mom is coming here to pick me up, its been forever since shes done that. She hasn't even seen my apartment since I moved here in August.
Class is going good, I'm really happy with this semester. No final exams :-) A few more papers, and some reading, and I'm done. We did our presentation in 361 yesterday. I hate presentations. My voice was shaking the whole time. I think we did pretty good though. I wish there was a little more structure in that class. I haven't really learned much about networking, and I thought we were going to have lab time, like he talked about at the beginning of the semester.
This semester is almost over, its going by really fast. A few more weeks. Then I go home and work over break. I need the money, so I guess thats good.
Yesterday, I found out that I can graduate next semester. I'm happy, I'm sick of school. But thinking about it is kinda scary. In a little more than a year, I'll be in the real world. I'll have to find a job other than reffing soccer and tossing salads. It will save me a lot of money though. I still need to figure out where I'm living next year. Hopefully tomorrow will help with some of that. I guess only being here for half the year next year makes it harder.
Soccer is finally over. We made it to the finals, but lost 2-0. That was fun. The guys were really good. I felt bad for being one of the crappy players on the team, but I still had fun. I got to meet a lot of new people, and another TC major. No more work though. I got a call from IM West today, asking if I was interested in being a soccer supervisor for next year. I'm happy I got asked. Its not much more money, but its waaaay more hours. Money is good. I have an interview for that on Monday.
Now I have to finish reading a book, so I can write a paper, then go to bed and get up early tomorrow. Yay, home! |

Grrr, my IAH TA sucks. I hate going to that class. He doesnt know how to get the class to do discussions. He'll ask a question, then make us anwser it. And when we do, he'll come out and say its wrong, because we didnt say it his way. Its really annoying. He grades our papers sooo hard. He marked everyone down because we didnt include certain words in the essay, even though the assignment was to define the topics in our own words. You cant talk to him about your own opinion, because its either his way, or wrong. He told our section today, "Well, if you didnt understand it that way, read it again, because thats the way I read it." There is more than one way to inturpurate a reading. His class examples are terrible. He asked if walking into a bar and punching someone in the face was justified violence. No one would walk in and just punch someone for no reason. I tried talking to my prof about it, but he wont do anything, because atleast what the TA does is consistant. My TA said, "Remember, I'm a student too." Yeah, so am I, and you wouldnt be happy if you got yourself as a TA either.
Ok, I feel a little better. I'll have to wait till I get my next paper back.

I've spent so much time studing already this semester.
I had a really weird dream last night. Casey and Jackie were both in it. I talked to Jackie for a few yesterday, but I havent really talked to either one of them in forever. I dreamed that it was the middle of the night, and I was sleeping. But I was at this place that sort of is a combination of my apartment, and my house. Around 2am, Jackie and Casey pound on my door, and wake me up. They needed a place to stay the night. I asked my mom if it was ok for them to stay here, and she said it was. We're getting ready to go to sleep, and Casey pulls a kitten out of her bag. Its really cute, but I know my cat will beat it up if they get near each other. I go to look for a box for the kitten to stay in. When I come back with a box, Casey has another kitten. I'm trying to keep them away from Hazel, and Casey pulls out a baby rabbit. I know for sure Hazel will kill and eat that, so I put that in the box. I looked for the kittens, and I find Hazel hissing at them in the basement. Then I look again, and shes licking them, and acting like they were her own kittens. I go back upstairs, and Casey has pulled a pet skunk out of her bag. I was kinda mad that she brought all these pets over here. And who keeps a pet skunk?? It got mad and sprayed a little in my room. Then I woke up. |

Hmm, I havent written in here in a long time.
I was looking forward to being back here all summer. But now that I'm back, I just want to go home, even if I would just keep working making salads every night. The hours suck, but it was starting to get fun. I'd for sure go back in December, but I dont want to work on New Years Eve. I'm thinking about going back anyway, for the money. I'm going to ref soccer again, so I atleast have a job for right now, which is better than last semester. I'm going to job fair Thursday, so maybe I can find another job, or one that just pays more. Maybe sometime soon I can afford to eat something besides tuna and tv dinners.
I'm not sure why I dont want to be here anymore. I just feel kind of empty. I have more trouble than normal sitting still in class. This semester is going to be sooo much more work. I only have about 2 exams, and the rest are papers and take home exams. I'd rather just take the normal exams, becuase I suck at writing.
This weekend was a lot of fun, even though it wasnt real exciting. Getting away makes me feel better, being up north reminds me of when I was little, and I got to spend the whole time with Corey :-) |
